Hurricane Irene put a damper on the end of the month of August and reminded us what bad weather feels like. I guess it's time for web designers to get back inside and back to work full force in September.
I hope you had a wonderful summer like we did at Adeo. We could see hurricane Irene coming up on us so we decided to have a nice impromptu company barbeque before the rain hit us, and mark the end of the season. Let's see what's in store for web design in Montreal next month as we turn a new leaf on the year.
BitNorth 2011
Friday September 16th 2011, Lake MacDonald (north of Montreal)
A fast-paced conference where attendees themselves make 10 minute presentations on people and technology that are bringing about change.
DrupalCamp Montréal
Friday September 16th 2011, McGill University
The fourth annual edition of the conference dedicated to the PHP based open source content management system.
Interactions, SEO, Social Media the best of the Web in the Eastern Townships
Thursday September 29th, City of Sherbrooke (Location not yet determined)
Hey look at this! A web marketing event in our own backyard. I tend to list free conferences over payed ones, but this event is relatively inexpensive at around two hundred dollars if you register in advance.
BookCamp Montreal 2011
Friday September 30th 2011, Salon Alfred Dallaire MEMORIA
As the name implies this conference has to do with books and publishing. However the industry is undergoing tremendous change due to technology, and the conference speakers will discuss these topics. Therefore it will be of great interest to web developers.
Most of the kids are back in school now too, but have you done your homework? If you have plans for presenting at Confoo in February of next year, you have until Friday to submit your papers!
